Books for cyclone victims

21/05/2015

At the beginning of the year many schools up in Northern Queensland were severely affected by Cyclone damage. One of those schools was Thangool Primary School which lost over 80% of their library books.

Some of our mums at Camp Hill have approached the school to see what we could offer as a community and would like to offer a “Book Package” to help replace those that were lost.

We are asking families to donate new books to help make up this package. The books the school requires are:-
  • Junior fiction – books about dinosaurs, trucks, Look and Find books, etc
Fiction – Geronimo Stilton series, Pony Pals series, Goosebumps series, etc.
Graphic novels – comic style novels are very popular
Non Fiction – books about animals and countries of the world, etc
(the school bookclub is excellent for these types of books)

If you are able to donate a book, please send in to Mr Frearson’s office on the Junior Campus by Friday June 5th.

The children and staff of Thangool Primary School would be most appreciative.
