Friendship and Counterexamples
Friendships challenge us and enrich our lives. The Year 3 children recently pondered the topic of ‘Friendship’ and reflected on questions such as: Could you have a friend with whom you often disagreed? Could you have a friend with whom you never shared your thoughts and feelings? Could you have a friend that you didn’t trust? Thinking about statements such as these led the children into a deepening understanding of the range and types of friendships we have in our lives.

The Year 2 children are learning about 'Counterexamples'
When looking at generalisations, they are deepening their thinking by searching for counter
Examples.
You should never scream’ (statement).
‘Yes you can when someone is in trouble, you are cheering for your team or you are on a fun, scary ride’ (counterexample).
