Focus on Resilience

Through the ‘You Can Do It’ Program, the children will engage with Ricky Resilience and Rosie Resilience, characters from the program who have much to share. The children will become more aware of how being like ‘Worried William’ and ‘Angry Annie’ decreases our resilience.

What does it mean to be resilient?
When you are upset, try to stay calm and bounce back, then you can get back to what you were doing without being too upset.

  • Often when we are disappointed, we can learn to be resilient.
  • It is about how we react to things that happen to us that we do not like.
  • It is not easy to be resilient.
  • It is hard work.
  • It is a challenge.
