Metacognition – Thinking about Your Thinking

In preparation for the Leadership Program the Year 5 students are engaged in HoM 5 ‘Metacognition – Thinking about Your Thinking’. The students are looking at: possibilities; how our actions affect others; consequences; and being mindful and employing strategic planning. As they apply Howard Gardener’s Multiple Intelligences, the students are getting to know themselves better, how they think and feel and their strategies for solving problems.

All students are being mindful of being as persistent as possible especially when engaging in challenging or boring tasks. We give it our best shot, try not to be quitters and stay focused on our goals.
