Curriculum at Camp Hill State Infants and Primary School is currently determined by The Australian Curriculum in the subject areas of:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • History
  • Geography

And by the Education Queensland Syllabus in the remaining Key Learning Areas (KLAs) of:

  • The Arts
  • Health and Physical Education
  • Languages Other Than English (Mandarin)
The Australian Curriculum sets out the core knowledge, skills and capabilities that are important for all Australian students. It identifies what all young people should learn as they progress through schooling, and is the foundation for high quality teaching to meet the needs of all Australian students.
While implementing the Australian Curriculum in our classrooms, Camp Hill State Infants and Primary School teachers prioritise the teaching of Literacy and Numeracy.

We also consider and value the following factors:

  • Australian Curriculum
  • Education Queensland syllabus
  • Queensland Government legislation
  • student interest
  • learning styles
  • student abilities
  • expert teaching teams
  • consistent curriculum delivery
For further information:

Australian education ministers have endorsed the Foundation – Year 10 Australian Curriculum. For a period of time, there will be two versions of the Australian Curriculum. This will allow teachers and schools to transition to the improved curriculum.
