Each year Camp Hill State Infants and Primary School hosts a Camp Hill community ANZAC Day service. This is an honour that we hold dearly and one that is very important to our community. Planning the 2021 event has been fraught with challenges and uncertainties given the fluid state of the COVID virus impact upon our community.
In 2021 Camp Hill school will:
- Provide a link to a school-developed online ANZAC Day service on the P&C Facebook page. We encourage families, and community members, to view the service as part of your active participation in acknowledging the traditions of ANZAC Day.
- Hold a school-based service for students in Years 1-6, invited guests and local political representatives, on Tuesday 27 April. This date is after ANZAC Day due to our Year 6 students returning from camp on Friday 23 May.
- Place poppies made by our students on the school perimeter and on their front lawns as a public acknowledgement of ANZAC Day in our community.
We certainly hope that 2022 will see the return of the usual Camp Hill service and March.
