Swimming
Our school is fortunate enough to have a 25m heated swimming
pool on campus.
We offer swimming in PE lessons in Terms 1 and 4 for Year 1
to Year 6 with Prep students commencing swimming in Term 4.
Content involves swim and survive activities, as well as
development and correction of competitive swimming strokes. Students in Year 5
and Year 6 learn about Flippa Ball (Modified Water Polo), Life Saving skills, including non-contact
rescues, fitting and swimming with a Personal Flotation Device and survival
strokes.
As the swimming program constitutes a major part of the
Physical Education curriculum, all students are obliged to attend. Students who
are unable to participate for any reason, must present a valid reason to their
class or PE Teacher in writing.
Depending on weather conditions, swimming may get cancelled
through the day. However please pack swimming gear regardless.
Parent volunteers for Prep to Year 2 classes are greatly
appreciated. If you are able to support your child’s class, please contact
their class teacher. Parent helpers are asked not to bring younger children to
the pool when assisting with swimming lessons.

Your child will need the following for swimming lessons.
