Welcome to Camp Hill State Infants and Primary School (CHSIPS). In 2006 Camp Hill State School (established 1926) and Camp Hill State Infants School (established 1951) merged into Camp Hill State Infants and Primary School.
Our campus provides a safe, supportive and caring environment for high quality learning for student from preparatory to year 7. The school offers a wide range of academic, sporting, musical and cultural programmes as well as extra-curricular program of excellence.
Camp Hill State Infants and Primary School provides a warm and supportive community for all members of our school ‘family’ and we are proud of our students. Celebrations for achievements are a feature of our daily activities. At CHSIPS we support, encourage and guide our students to achieve their potential as successful navigators of the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
The University of NSW conducts international tests in Science, Mathematics and English each year—the “International Competitions and Assessments for Schools” (ICAS). The International Competitions and Assessments for Schools provide extensive independent evaluations of students’ skills, knowledge and understandings in the core learning areas. These skills and understandings are important indicators of success in school and beyond.
The school particularly encourages children to participate in the Science, English and Maths competitions. The school is supervising English, Maths and Science tests this year for students from Grades 3 to 7. The tests are $8.00 each. The closing date for entry and payment is Friday 21st March.
See the letter below with information and entry forms if you wish for your child to participate. Alternatively, parents can collect entry forms from the office.
