Our school and P&C acknowledges the important work that volunteers carry out within our school environment. Assistance, in the following areas - classroom, tuckshop, excursions, P&C activities, Class Parent Representative program, sporting carnivals, etc - enhances the quality of your child's teaching and learning experience.
Training of volunteers is now mandatory in Queensland under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000. Most of these training expectations are in relation to Child Protection and exist for the good of all students in our care.
To participate as a volunteer at Camp Hill State Infants and Primary School you must:

Together we can work towards a brighter future for our students.
Grandparents and others who are not Parents
Before commencing any voluntary work in the school, or accessing school grounds during school hours, adults who are not parents (i.e. grandparents, siblings and other community members ) must hold a current Blue Card for Volunteers.
If you do not hold a current Blue Card for Volunteers, you must complete a
Volunteer or Student Blue Card Application or Renewal form. This is then forwarded to Blue Card Services for processing. The positive notice is an essential requirement under the Queensland Legislation, before volunteering can occur for you within our school.
Applications for volunteers are free and
can be made online.
Your Blue Card must be 'linked' to our school if volunteering. Please bring your form to the office so that the Organisation Details section can be completed and signed.
You should carry your volunteer Blue Card with you at all times when volunteering at school or on excursion.
Please be aware that all names of registered volunteers will be made available to interested parties of Camp Hill State Infants and Primary School.
