Attendance at school is compulsory from Prep to Year 6. However, if your child is absent from school through illness, or some other valid reason, please contact the school before 9:00am by:
- lodging the absence in QParents (registered users)
- phoning the Student Absence Line on 3900 9460. This is a 24hr recorded service. Please leave a clear message with your child's full name, class and reason for absence
- E-mailing the school office admin@camphillipss.eq.edu.au Please include your child's full name, class and reason for absence
Electronic rolls are marked twice a day at 9:00am and 1:55pm. If a student is not present their parent/carer will receive an SMS message. If you receive a message from the school, please respond advising of your child's absence OR if you believe your child should be at school contact the school office immediately to notify us on 07 3900 9333.
Arriving late or leaving early:
Students who arrive late to school are required to go to the administration office to sign in and collect a late slip to give to their teacher.
If you are collecting your child early from school, you are required to go to the administration office to sign your child out early.
Years 1 – 6 The office will phone through to the classroom to ask the student to come and meet you at the office for collection. Parents/carers are not allowed in classrooms during school hours, unless you have signed in to volunteer.
Prep parents/carers will be given an early slip to take to their child's class for collection.
We are unable to sign out students from different campus.
Long Absences
If your child is planning to be away for ten or more consecutive school days, parents/carers need to apply for an “Exemption from Attending School". This form needs to be completed and given to the school administration office for approval by the school Principal well in advance of the child's absence.
