From time to time, the school will offer a Free Dress Day as
a means of raising funds for some worthy cause. Previous causes have been – the
E Koalas, the music program, the Special Education Program, the Aerobics program,
disability awareness days etc.
While these days are a fun day for students, the following
protocols need to be adhered to:-
To be eligible to wear Free Dress, students must pay a gold coin donation which will be collected in the morning of the day.
Free Dress needs to be neat and tidy.
Free Dress needs to be modest – no see through items of clothing, short shorts, bare midriffs. No t-shirts with “rude” slogans.
Free Dress needs to be suitable to wear in all the normal curriculum areas e.g. closed in shoes, no high heels.
Students need to be comfortable and free to perform their usual classroom work and other activities.
Sun safety rules still apply – students must wear hats to play, girls and boys need to have shoulders covered (no singlets or straps).
