Throughout the year, students participate in a range of exciting whole-school sporting events that celebrate participation, personal achievement and school spirit. Separate carnivals are held for our Prep–Year 2 Junior Campus and Year 3–6 Senior Campus students.

•    Cross Country Carnival

•    Athletics CarnivalAnnual sporting carnivals include:

•    Swimming Carnival

All students from Prep – Yr 6 are allocated to one of three sporting houses, fostering teamwork, leadership and a strong sense of belonging. Our sporting houses are named in honour of significant historical Queensland figures:

•   McIlwraith (Yellow) – Named after Sir Thomas McIlwraith (1835–1900), former Premier of Queensland.

•   Moore (Green) – Named after Arthur Edward Moore (1876–1963), former Premier of Queensland.

•   Wilson (Blue) – Named after Sir Leslie Orme Wilson (1876–1955), former Governor of Queensland.

Each year, students elect two House Captains and two Vice Captains for each house. These student leaders play an important role in encouraging participation, promoting school spirit and supporting younger students throughout sporting events.

Our carnivals are inclusive celebrations of sport that encourage every child to participate, challenge themselves and experience success. These events are always well supported by our families and wider school community, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all.
