This learning area is an essential part of our curriculum and is delivered to all year levels through two interconnected subjects: Health Education and Physical Education.

Here's what we aim to achieve through this important learning area:

Making Healthy Choices: We teach students how to find, understand, and use information to make smart decisions about their health, safety, and physical activity. They also learn how to support and encourage others to live healthy and active lives.

Building Life Skills and Positive Relationships: Through HPE, students develop important personal and social skills, like confidence, resilience, and teamwork. They also learn how to build and maintain respectful and positive relationships with others.

Developing Movement Skills and Confidence: Students learn and practise a variety of physical skills and strategies that help them feel confident and capable in different sports and physical activities.

Encouraging Regular Physical Activity: We inspire students to enjoy being active and to find ways to include regular physical activity in their daily lives, both as individuals and as part of their communities.

Understanding Influences on Health and Activity: Students explore how different factors, such as their personal choices, environment, and community, can affect their health and opportunities to be active.

By focusing on these goals, we aim to equip students with the tools they need to take care of their health, build strong relationships, and enjoy an active lifestyle—both now and in the future.
