Sport Aerobics is a high-energy sport that combines traditional aerobics with elements of fitness and dance. Athletes learn and perform choreographed routines featuring varying levels of skills, strength, flexibility and movement patterns, all performed to energetic music.
The Sport Aerobics program at Camp Hill State Infants & Primary School is an extra-curricular program that began in 2001, founded by Genevieve Clark and Shelley Edwards, and has since grown into one of the school's largest extra-curricular sporting programs. With approximately 80–100 athletes competing each year, students have the opportunity to train and perform in team-based routines while developing confidence, teamwork, fitness and performance skills.
Camp Hill State Infants & Primary School competes in the FISAF competition pathway, with athletes participating in three major events each year: the Super Series, State Championships and, for selected teams, the National Championships. Over the years, Camp Hill has achieved outstanding success, winning numerous National Championships and building a proud tradition of excellence in the sport.
The program is proudly run by dedicated teachers, supported by experienced external coaches who assist in developing athletes across all levels.
