The Australasian Problem-Solving Mathematical Olympiads (APSMO) is an engaging and challenging program designed to develop and extend students' problem-solving skills and foster a love for mathematics. Open to high-achieving Mathematics students in Years 4 to 6, the program develops creative and critical thinking through weekly lessons and a series of four Olympiad contests held between May and September each year. The content focuses on problem-solving strategies rather than routine mathematical procedures, helping students build confidence and resilience in tackling complex problems. APSMO promotes teamwork, perseverance, and a growth mindset. Participants not only enhance their mathematical reasoning but also develop skills that are transferable across other subjects and real-life situations. At Camp Hill, this program enriches the mathematics curriculum and provides opportunities for students to excel in a supportive and inclusive environment. APSMO celebrates effort and improvement, with awards recognising individual and team achievements.
