Asthma

PublishingPageContent

For many students, asthma will be a lifelong health condition, so it is important for students to recognise their signs and symptoms.

If your child has asthma, parents are required to provide an Asthma Action Plan to school administration, completed and signed by your child’s doctor. Any medication referred to on the plan that needs to be administered at school must have a pharmacy label affixed with the student's name as well as prescribing doctor.  This cannot be the pharmacist or OTC (over the counter) .  If the dosage listed on the medication matches your child's asthma plan, a prescribing doctor is not required on the label.

Our school has staff trained to provide Asthma First Aid in an emergency to any student demonstrating signs and symptoms of serious asthma attack.

If your child’s health condition changes, please contact a member of the school administration team.

Thank you for assisting us in supporting your child’s health needs.
