The Arts curriculum plays a vital role in fostering students' personal, social, and cultural development.
The Arts learning area comprises five distinct yet interconnected subjects:
Dance – Exploring movement and expression through choreography and performance.
Drama – Developing confidence, collaboration, and storytelling skills through acting and performance.
Media Arts – Engaging with digital and traditional media to create and interpret visual and audio content.
Music – Understanding and creating music through performance, composition, and appreciation.
Visual Arts – Expressing ideas and emotions through drawing, painting, sculpture, and other visual mediums.
At Camp Hill State Infants and Primary School, we are committed to providing all students with a well-rounded education in The Arts. To ensure this, every year level participates in Music each semester, which is delivered by our specialist music teachers, Mrs Baker and Mrs Gordon. In addition to Music, students also engage with one of the other four Arts subjects each semester. This approach allows our students to experience a variety of art forms, discover their interests, and develop a broad range of creative skills.
Through The Arts teachers design engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to all students, regardless of their prior experience or skill level. Through The Arts, students not only develop technical abilities but also critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills that are essential for their overall development.
